OMAR CRADDOCK

NORFOLK — Omar Craddock of the Texas-based Jump Corps field events specialty training and scholastic education club brought closure to his freshman summer with a victory in the Intermediate (15- to 16-year-old) Boys Divsion of the triple jump at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic Games on the Norfolk State University campus, Tuesday, August 1.

Only three months a 15-year-old, Craddock jumped 48-feet-1½ with a legal +1.1. wind. During the 2005 AAU Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans, Louisiana, Craddock posted a distance of 42-4 to win gold in the Youth Boys Division.
