OMAR CRADDOCK

TRIPLE JUMP

Albuquerque, N.M. — Sixteen-year-old, U.S. intermediate boys triple jumper Omar Craddock posted a national age-group leading mark of 15.16 meters (49-feet-9) at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic on Saturday, June 2, 2007.

Craddock and Great Southwest Classic jumps teammate Chris Carter, who is ranked U.S. No. 3 with a previous mark of 51-feet-2 ½, scored a combined 18 points as members of Team Texas.

Omar is a sensational young athlete. I am really hoping that breaks my school record at Killeen High. I think that he is the perfect gentlmen-athlete to do so. He seems to listen more and he is a much better athlete at his age than I ever was.
